  97. I saw mention of an up-and-coming mode called Pactor-II, which uses DSP 
  98. technology to increase throughput. Can anyone tell me more about this 
  99. mode? When will it be available? Should I hold off buying a multimode 
  100. controller until this mode is available?

  123. Actually, Jeff, since you already know what the show topics are, you have
  124. the option of not listening to something you don't want to hear. And if you
  125. are being charged to listen you have a point, but I haven't paid a
  126. broadcaster yet for delivering an RF signal to the vicinity of my antenna
  127. and receiver, nor have I been asked to do so, with the notable and IMHO
  128. worthwhile exception of PBS and NPR.

  178. A quick peek into the FCC frequency allocation charts says that 154.46375 
  179. is allocated primarily for electric utility one-way communications for 
  180. load control. When in doubt, check with the guys in charge!

  188. It had better not be, based on the above. That frequency is allocated 
  189. nationwide for utilities, using 350W output stations. Anything else is 
  190. secondary, and not just on paper at those power levels!
